Ethics

AMEC is committed to high standards of business ethics and corporate compliance

Ethics

AMEC conducts all of its business in accordance with our Code of Business Conduct. Our business partners are the suppliers, agents, consultants, lenders, joint venture partners and others with whom we transact business. They are also crucial for the long-term success of AMEC and should be considered colleagues, not adversaries. We create a reputation for integrity and honesty when we deal with our business partners in fair and honest relationships and with high ethical standards.

  • Ensuring fair and honest relationships means that each supplier or partner is selected because of their competence, reliability, value and business conduct. No preference or favour can be shown to a supplier or partner on the basis of personal or family gain. No one may use his or her position with AMEC to solicit gifts or favours from our business partners.
  • Setting high ethical standards mean that we act in accordance with the Code of Business Conduct in our dealings with our business partners. It also means that we require our business partners to act in a manner consistent with our Code of Business Conduct in their dealings with AMEC.
  • Our responsibility with respect to agents, sponsors and consultants is to make no improper payments to them. All commissions or fees paid to agents, sponsors and consultants must be reasonable in relation to the services provided and we will not use them as a conduit to make improper payments to any other person, including public officials, customers or employees.

Suppliers are asked to report any potential or actual breaches of the Code to the Ethics Helpline at:
+44 (0) 800 032 2341 or +1 866 411 AMEC (2532) or email to ethics@amec.com in confidence
